You are probably correct about the longevity of the Tesla, however I am not sure you should be boasting about robustness of BMW. Or at least in my case; I have a 2017 440i convertible, and from day one I have been displeased with the quality of this 66k car. I have 13,600 mi on it and my OEM tires need replacing, the brakes most probably need new pads, I need to replace my windshield (it was pitted badly at 10,000 mi.; mostly street driving, very little freeway) and then I got hit with a rock, the quality of glass is poor), the quality of the paint job leaves a lot to be desired, the MPG is not as good as advertised. Sorry I traded in my C5 Corvette for this car.
