I'm right now in Vegas in the BMW M Power experience... one of the programs today included a drive see a park and that was some 30 miles more o less from the track.
Instead of that driving the X5 M I preferred to ride along Walter Haupt... He is the head engineer for the new X5 M and X6 M.
I asked him the same question... what the deal with the break in...
He explained me its very important due to the amount of torque the car has, and that best way to do it is by driving in manual mode and breaking a lot with the engine instead of the the breaks, he told me play with the paddles and rev it maximum to 5500 rpm...
