When shopping around for Opti-Coat, make sure your installer is using Opti-Coat PRO, not Opti-Coat 2.0. There is a difference, OCP is more durable than the 2.0 and can only be installed by authorized dealers.

As far as the price, it seems incredibly low. Authorized detailers for OCP have to sign waivers which stipulate the minimum price that is to be charged, just for applying the coating. At $400 (for everything) they would would not be following the regualtions put in place.

I charge roughly (depends on condition of vehicle) $850 to detail a vehicle and apply OCP. Anyone can apply the coating, but only the true professionals can be trusted to properly prep (wash/decontaminate/polish) the vehicle to get the most out of the coating. Once applied, the car must be thoroughly inspected to ensure there is full coverage and no high spots. Getting your car detailed is like everything else, you get what you pay for.
