Each dealer has a "goodwill" budget that this should fit perfectly into. I agree that this issue doesn't appear to be wear related so given the short amount of time since warranty expiration and the fact the he is looking at a GT3RS, his expectations are normal. There is more than one Porsche dealership in Ontario, OP have you tried contacting another one?
