I wouldnt necessarily say he has had zero luck since the summer break.

Spa - he made a mistake that took him out
Monza - planned PU change
Singapore - no issues, finished on the podium
Russia - Planned PU change in preparation for Japan, so the qualifying penalty was expected
Japan - this one was rather unlucky for him
Mexico - qualifying penalty was his fault, race incident could go either way (his own fault or unlucky with positioning his car)

So out of the last 6 races, I would argue he was unlucky in only one. And let's not forget Albon took PU penalties in two of the races as well.

That being said, I do think its too early to make a call on who is better based on just 6 races. Next year will be the true test assuming his contract at RB is extended.
