I'm not saying the HAS kit is ideal, but it's better than leaving the stock rear coil spring and throwing some random springs on the front purely for aesthetic purposes. And if set up properly, I don't think the HAS kit "ruins the handling and balance of the car", not saying it would improve it either though.

OP I think you should just buy a set of H&R or equivalent springs for what you are trying to accomplish.
