I like the fact you can tick the option to dim theambient lighting for night driving , that was a concern I had that it might be a bit bright at night.

I turn it off on my F10 when on long night drives on unlit roads, find it mroe restful on the eyes.

I'm not sure about being able to turn the screen off completely... I think the dimming wheel on the dash near the light controls dims the dash, lighting and maybe even the iDrive Screen.
