That is actually not too bad.
BTW, I got a quote from the dealer - this time, it's in writing.
However, something is not right:
They are offering $13,352 off the vehicle (MSRP $123,525) which is probably as good as I can do. I assume they rolled the $1,000 lease cash into that which equals a discount of 10% plus incentive.
What I don't get is this:
With $3,000 down, 36 months and 7.5k miles/year, wheel & tire insurance and taxes/fees totaling $3k, they are quoting me
$1,539/month. When I'm using my own calculator based on the November numbers, I come up with
$1,405.....
I replied that I'm aware that 0.00128 is the base MF and that I'm willing to pay some mark-up due to the great discount they offered but a mark-up resulting in an additional $130/month would be a bit too steep.
I counter-offered $1,440. If we could agree on that, I'd be a happy camper. That would be just $95/month more than what I'm currently paying on my $88K Audi Q7.
