This is true. The car got a good bit wider, bigger wheels and tires, more luxury, more gears and readiness for hybrid. It’s still 300 lbs lighter than an M3/4 with Dct which are 3700+ lbs. Even a 488 GTB is 3500 lbs, and the 911 is lighter.
Just wait until the new M3/4 with Awd and an auto gearbox are 2 tons. The 911 is still very light and it’s prepared for the hybrid which other cars aren’t as well visualized.
