I think the issue is more related to what year of car you have. In general - the 2007's actually had a relatively good HPFP. Relatively good in the context that they were better than the -881s, but unfortunately, the originals will still fail with mileage. I went almost 60K miles on mine. By then, the original pump had been replaced by the -881. Which was OEM on the 2008 and 2009's coming down the line. I went through a handful of these crap -881s for the next 50K miles.
So, the vast majority of people who post having HPFP failures are still on -881s. Whether the -881 is original for their model year or whether it was a replacement, the -881 is total crapola.
When your 2007 pump eventually dies, - and it will - you will get the -933 or whatever is the replacement of the current one.
I consider this fortunate for you as you will have missed the -881 debacle. I am now ~22K miles on the -943. Still 40K miles short of my original pump, but at least I'm 8K miles more than any of the -881s I had.
