So I am on my second 981, 2016 Cayman S. I still love the car and enjoy every drive, but this spring will be 3 years with essentially the same car, which is a long time for me (I gots the car switchitis disease).

I have been looking at what will be its replacement and the M2 looks pretty compelling. I am a manual guy so that makes the playing field somewhat more narrow.

I had a C7 for 3 weeks and did not like it, so that is out.
the gt350 is interesting but looks a little too big for my liking, my c7 experience made me appreciate how much I like a compact car
really I don't see much else out there that compels me?

I like NA powerplants so that is something about the m2, I know I won't like as much, but I find it beautiful and aggressive looking, it is small and compact, offers a manual, and promises great handling and ride characteristics...I can't think of anything else out there that is as quite on point as the next move from a 981 (assuming a more or less lateral move is what one is contemplating)

any other cayman/boxster drivers considering the M2?
