I also keep the stock staggered tire size in my winters. I usually order them on TireRack with each new vehicle. X-Drive does an excellent job allocating power appropriately. I feel like an unstoppable tank on my country back roads.

Good point till you factor in that It is $3200 to get winter tires for the 22in wheels that come with M60i. The BMW 21in winter set ( wheels and tires ) goes for $3850. For me, It is more value for money to get the 21in winter set. |
Yeah that certainly makes sense. They're a bit cheaper down here in the States (the tires are, anyway); I paid $2330 after rebate on TireRack for my 22s matching the OEM, staggered setup.
