You will need to get a seat for the rear facing infant only, and then switch to a front facing toddler++ front facing only seat. 3-in-1 seats are enormous when mounted rear facing and not as safe for the infant (they are however perfectly safe for front facing toddler and booster). Get one that fits securely with the car as it is the most important. Some rear facing seats have a base that secures with the latch system, and you can just click the seat on the base which is very nice to have, and they also clip in the stroller, that's also very nice.

Don't buy the marketing about the safety of these seats, they are all more or less equivalent. One only caveat when shopping for a front facing seat, in 1/2 years from now, prefer one where the 5 pts harness can be used with larger/older kids (up to 6 or 7). Also check that the belt routing system is not moronic (as it is on some Safety 1st and Echelon products): you want the belt routing to be an horizontal slit at the place where the shoulder of the kid should be. Vertical slit routing are not safe (apply to boosters with a back or 3-in-1 used as boosters).
