On a pre-LCI E90, the 18x9.5" ET43 would be a bit to conservative. However, BMW did change the design of the rear suspension on the LCI models pushing it out, making your oem wheels to stick out further, but limiting the ability to properly run lower offsets. The 18x9.5" ET43 will not site as flush as the ET35, but will also not be very sunken in, while allowing you to run 265 tires (even some 275 tires) without the need for a fender roll. However, many customers have used the 18x9.5" ET35 in the rear with 265's, but a minor fender roll is typically required.
