Yes I used the white vinegar (which contains in Germany 25% acetic acid). I think in the states this one will be available but I am not sure that is also 25%:

Ok, I see why you are using the 50% solution. If it is just 5% in the states, then this makes sence. For Germany the typical white vinegar is 25%, so there is a big difference between a 2,5% solution of acetic acid against a 12,5% solution. Sorry for my wrong remark.
