No searching here, my friend! I took the test twice and both times I realized I made a typo and had to backspace to erase and then correct, using valuable time. I'm compelled to correct them; I cant help myself, even at the expense of time.
That test really judges your ability to type without looking. As I sit here hunting and pecking my way through this post, knowing in my head what I'm going to type and not having to take my eyes off the keyboard to read, I'll bet I'm closer to 90 WPM. It's that reading and then typing that kills me. But really, when was the last time you had to do that? In the era of computers and copy/paste, the ability to read from a piece of paper and type is about as necessary as knowing how to hitch a horse to a wagon.
