The part that I find hilarious in all this is that I stumbled across this issue when searching for a solution to a VERY leaky thermal travel mug BMW dealer gifted me on pickup of my car. So not only do the cupholders leak through and break expensive electronics, but some poor saps like me are getting leaky mugs gifted to them by BMW dealers to help ensure that the problem arises.
