Apples and oranges. With respect to market share/sales, BMW has topped the luxury car segment numerous times over the past number of years. I'm not saying they produce a better car than Porsche (they don't), but to say "BMW sucks" or doesn't innovate is ignorant and stupid. |
If you call making 9000000 different model lines innovation. Really good at making V6 engines but way behind Porsche at it. Maybe one day they will make a real V8 that won't be a huge liability in 40k miles - but probably not.
I own a BMW and like the brand but they are not
committed to pursuing the "ultimate drive machine" anymore. But people make "stupid" points like car sales of generic basic model cars and think that's innovation.
