The price estimates have been made using every imaginable ratio possible, E46 M3, 335, E39->E60 M5, E36 M3->E46 M3, 550i->M5, the price in most European countries, military sales price rumors, magazine estimates, random numbers, $90k, prices of all close competitors, etc. All of these discussions are all over this forum, in thread after thread. There are also multiple polls on the topic.
If I may summarize, most reasonable arguments/calculations/speculations come in at about $60k+/-$3k.
The horse is beaten and now badly disfigured and barely recognizeable as a horse. It is probably just about time just to grin and bear it (the wait)....Although I know, not much else left to talk about....
