I consider leasing cars a probationary period. Only car we kept was our E70 because we loved it so much.
That's how I have been in the past but I can't justify a lease payment of this magnitude for a family hauler we will only put 6k mikes a year in.
I feel like if you get a healthy enough discount at minimum residual your lease end buyout will still be pretty ok if you did decide to keep it.
