Depends on your situation. If you have actually had this issue happen and paid for repair, you need to submit a claim for reimbursement. Otherwise, you don't need to do anything now.
Whats not exactly clear here is if under the extended warranty period, they are only agreeing to cover the repair if you have an issue or if you can proactively go in for a fix before there is an issue. I'm assuming it's the former. The extended warranty period is defined as 7 years so every x7 is still covered for at least a few more years.
