What year and body is your car? I have 09 E90 and run 255 front 265 rear on the 18x9 et30 and 18x9.5 et35 respectively. Some VERY minor rubbing that happens like once or twice a month and I'm probably at 1 finger gap all around.

For the front on my car 235's look super stretched, 245's just looked odd IMO. Never put anything but 265s on the rear and had zeros issues even with 5 adults in the car.

EDIT: Putting the Arc 8's on my car literally cut 2/10ths off my 1/4 time over the 287's style wheels
