Spare Tire for F10 M5 (possible group buy) (UPDATE: tire SUCCESS including pics)

Hi guys,

Talking to a vendor about that and trying to see how many people would be interested in a spare tire package for f10 m5?

Depending on the number of people, they will make a study.
They are already sending me a set to have it test and see if it fits/clears perfectly..

so if u are interested pls put your names in this thread and i will update u with the news.

Regarding to pricing we are looking at roughly low $400 including Genuine BMW Spare Tire Jack Kit and tire tote... If you have the jack kit then the spare tire would cost no more than $300..

UPDATE OCTOBER 2

As of today, there is no spare tire that fits on.
The calipers are so big, wheel doesnt clear the brakes.
We requested a spare from Germany however it also didn't fit.
They either sent a wrong one or it was for e60 m5, for that reason we requested another one and will test again.

It is so disturbing to drive the car without a spare.
Road assistance is so slow and if you have a flat tire, it ruins your all day.
Still looking and will let you know with updates.

UPDATE JULY 7

I just received a new spare direct from Germany.
They said that, it is an OEM part that is being used in Europe.
That means, this should work. I will have it tested this week and let you know.

UPDATE MAY 27 2013

So far no spare tire fit to f10 M5.
Ordered a new/different one from Germany which most likely will clear the brakes, will arrive mid June.
Once it arrives, i will try right away and let you know guys..

if it fits, vendor will ship it accordingly to the order of waiting list above...

UPDATE MARCH 24 2014

After all that testing and fitting, at last we found the solution.

Please find the attached pictures here.

The spare fits nicely over the front, however the rear requires a spacer (the way the caliper is shaped)

The bad news is the cost, now that we have to throw in a special spacer into the mix, the retails going to come to about $780 (rim, tire, spacer, bolts) ouch!!!!

These components are also hard to come by, but we should have it ready to go by next week,

If anybody is interested in the spare with current pricing ($780) (free shipping in the 48 states) please let me know so that I can talk to vendor and get a group buy pricing.
