I have driven a 2018 R8 V10 and a 2016 GT4.
R8
- lacks soul and drama
- not as engaging to drive
- drives like an Audi
- very fast, but does not feel as fast
- has supercar looks that suggest a $200K tag
- more appropriate as a garage queen
- gets a lot of attention
GT4
- fun factor is up there
- very engaging to drive
- tighter/harder suspension
- not an appropriate garage queen
- If you like M cars, you will like the GT4
