This comparison like many other comparisons of "unequals by design" is entertaining.
X7: visiting the mall most of the time, wishing to go off the road
G-WAGEN: designed for off road, visiting the mall most of the time
I drove G-WAGEN many times. Mixed emotions about many factors particularly suspension behavior. It's just not tuned for 90% of daily driving conditions: too busy, and too firm with delayed reaction to road imperfections. G63 excels at emptying the wallet while transmitting more engine and road noises than one would want. G550 is a much better deal.
Other than the exterior retained for nostalgic reasons, the 2019 G-WAGEN models are practically new vehicles if compared to 2018 models.
