IMHO wireless charging is not worth it, at least from my experience of having it in a 2019 model. It was very slow and made the phone very hot. I ended up always plugging in a USB cable. So if you don't get wireless charging I wouldn't sweat it.

From what I understand the wireless charging pad is what connects your phone to the cellular range extender antenna on top of the vehicle.
I also used it to instantly register my digital key card. Not sure if this is possible without the charging pad. |
Digital key works by NFC. Wireless charge doesn't matter.
