I took my 2020 X5M to the dealer today for the 1200 mile break-in service. I asked if Android Auto was available with a software update (the 2021 X5M comes with Android Auto standard) and to my surprise, it was. I'm not really sure what it can do, I'm still playing around with it.

It might be possible to get Android Auto via an OTA update, not sure though.
