Just because the computer says it is at max level doesn't mean you put the right amount of oil in. If you put in 9 quarts it will tell you the exact same thing, so would 10, 11, etc. There is no way to know that you overfilled the car with oil after an oil change. I'm not saying that you wont need 7, but you probably wont need 7 (6-6.5 works for most people). By putting in 7 every time you don't know what you are doing-your car may need 6 but you would never know.
