Personally I swapped the stock grill on my M340i with full gloss black mesh grill similar to the one sold in the Canadian market. It was pretty cheap and install took about 10 minutes. I don't see any reason why it won't fit a 330i but I love this style.
That's a good summary but there is one more option. I think it's the one I like the best if I were to swap out the original Cerium grille on my M340i. It has gloss black surround and Cerium or silver M340 style mesh. It's a mix of the all gloss black and OEM Cerium.

One member here made his own by disassembling and swapping parts on two OEM grilles. BMW might make this combo OEM as I have seen what look like car show pics with it on a BMW display car. Or, eBay has a version.
