since I learned Android is not the best for these BMW apps I did the same and keep an ipod stored in the center console. After I swipe to unlock, the connected drive app connects by itself. I was gonna see if I can turn off the needing to unlock and if it would auto connect each time.... but keeping an eye here in case there is another way around it.
