You can do what ayao stated and snip them from the top as they're plastic if you don't feel comfortable with drilling. I replaced them with OEM plastic rivets.

Mine also didn't like my aftermarket exhaust (Akrapovic) so I used spacers between the plastic boot floor and the 'ground effects panel' along with longer bolts.
