Short of something being stuck to limit the movement, the only sensor I am aware of would prevent the second row from going back too far and pushing on someone's knees in the third row.
She was fine, the headrests go down first and then it takes a second to start the motion, so it basically slaps you in the head to let you know you better move. We have captains chairs so when she realized it was doing more, she was able to unbuckle and squeeze between them a bit. She then reached over to try to fix it and ended up putting the other seat down in that process. The placement of those buttons is kind of odd... extremely odd that they function while the car is moving.
