5 yo gets to his seat either from the trunk or through the second row door and just squeezes between the captains. No need to fold the seat to let him in.
The second 3rd row seat is folded to allow for the stroller and other storage.

Care to comment on the legroom for Captain's Chairs? I have an X5 and 2022 Acura MDX. The MDX has wonderful second row legroom, I want to upgrade to the X7, but not if the legroom is worse than the MDX. |
There's going to be about 100 people chiming in that I'm wrong, but I assure you that the X7 has like 0.2" more legroom than the X5.
