mitch57 Thank you for the update! Actually I noticed your thread first but didn't want to spoil it (since it's specific).
I feel your pain, it sticks out quite ... a lot.
Don't even remind me the SIB. I mentioned it, to have some background, as a BTW information to my dealer and of course it wasn't received well, I was even called "armchair philosopher" (they forgot to turn off my dashcam...)
Why do you think it works now? Is the design of the new door significantly different? (or it's just modified properly right away from factory)
