I did not know it was for real, but reading it and knowing a few people who are this deep into their faith, i know there was some element of the truth in it.
Keep in mind, even with it being satire at best, most satire is base in reality which makes it funny on one hand but raise the issue on the other hand.
For those who do not think some element of this is real, you're kidding yourself, there is a who group of people who live with the notion that the man is master of the house and he has every right to treat his wife as he feel is suitable. They same people would look upon you as a weak male if they do not control their wife and kids and your a failure as a husband and provide if you let your wife do anything but server you needs.
