I also though the cargo room behind 3rd row looks bigger in the GLS vs X7, but Thomas @ Autogefuhl did a intro video and measured it to 45 cm in the GLS and also 45 cm in the X7 (in his in depth video).
So at least according to Thomas, they are the same length behind the 3rd row.
