Lavalina leather and Merino leather are tanned and dyed very similar. These are top shelf grade leathers. Lavalina stresses “German cows” if that makes a difference??
It is more of a branding than anything from ALPINA. Remember ALPINA is making these on the same line as a package with the other models so supply with parts has to be kept to a minimum. I am sure ALPINA has very carefully worked out the SC manufacturing procedure.
