In my 2015 x3 35i, the text messaging read and reply was part of the enhanced bluetooth if I recall. I use it with the Dragon dictation to reply which costs like $25/yr and the voice dictation is quite good. I don't seem to see any similar package on the 2018 so maybe it's just a standard function now, which really it should be. But, BMW.
Anyway, it's not an app that is run - it's part of the Office function.
