A good car sound does require some loudness (dB), but just the right amount. On the other hand a loud car does not necessarilly (actually rather rarely) sound good! Unfotunately this is confused way too often.
IMO, 40i + MPPSK sounds better than M3/M4 already, without further mods. I am yet to find out whether a DP just makes it louder, but not better, or both.

That's why I went with the Akropovic because it's barely any loudness added. And it helps performance wise
