Did a small accident and am looking for spare part details
Hi guys,
Today I forgot how X7 is an enormous vehicle and bumped the trunk to a shopping mall's garage wall. It was a soft landing, but anyway, I have cracked the Trunk Tailgate Trim Strip. The middle plastic part has absorbed the hit and shattered away from the main trim. I would like to replace the part myself without involving the BMW service. Any ideas about the trim part number for 2023 X7 LCI? I found a how-to video on YouTube for 2019 pre-LCI model. Thanks! |

Not knowing what specific model, try here to find part number. Also see pic

Hi again,
I removed the trim (G07LCI FR GMOD TRIM - 51137312188) without any issue today. I am going to order a new one and install it by myself. In case if you lean or touch the rear side of the car to a wall, this will be the first surface / part that will be impacted. I am attaching the part number for X7 40i / 40d below, so make sure you save it because it's not available at the BMW part catalogues on the internet. For X7 60i the part number is 51135A59DE0. Yes. It's connected partially with Industrial Velcro and plastic clips like the pre-LCI. Removing the Industrial Velcro part was challenging indeed. It's quite powerful to separate it from each other.

BMW are advising that the part number above is only for the bootlid and does not black out the strip that flows into the lights themselves, just checking that is what you received when you ordered that part? (just the bootlid bit?). I can order new lights with gloss black but they are the expensive bit and seems like overkill!! |

i smoked the tails with a small strip of film to cover the chrome. i had originally smoked the strip with film, but cracked it on a low overhang so i replaced it with the smoked blackline version.
