Piped engine sound - only with HK?
Quick question - I test drove a DCT with all the options a couple of weeks ago and noticed the pronounced sound in the cabin. I then drove a manual with no HK sound system and the car sounded totally different.
As HK adds amps, subwoofers and extra speakers, it does make sense that you need this system to hear a realistic engine note. Can anyone confirm if this is true? Finally, I'm buying the car to drive, not to listen to tunes. Do I really need the HK upgrade (future resale etc)? |

Dunno if HK amplifies any enginesound more than the stock audio does, but I have HK(standard overhere) and I think it's not worth the money...

Skipping HK for sure, bonus if the Active around is lesser but I doubt it. I'm certain on F30 it has its own speaker(s) OEM part numbers etc
