Oh that's good news. if the OTA is offering the .44 varian as an OTA, this means that for some of us here who got the 11/2022.44 through the dealer last month actually got the most and final version of the Nob 2022. Sometimes you can get earlier (non-final) variant of a given release before all the minor bugs and tweaks are addressed. Once a given major release (the month number) is released as an OTA update, this confirms that the last two digits (i.e.: 44 in 11/2022.44) represent the final variant of the November 2022 release.

I've been using this software number for a month now, no issues at all.

Please keep us posted if the vehicle will accept the software update and finish the process. Several members had issues with the former July 07/2022 software update.

Is the remote control parking feature just a gimmick?

i believe the OP has a 2023.
OP, what sw version did you have before?

i wonder if i will get the OTA- im still running the pre recall version from the first day of prod.
would be nice to not have to go in for the recall but i wonder if they will let me update without bringing it in since it is a recall.
aside from a CEL 2500 miles ago havent had any issues so wasnt in a rush to go to the dealer

If you live in the US, my understanding is that you won't get that feature. I could be wrong, I'd suggest other LCI users to weigh in if they really got the feature to work in the US. In 2017, I once had a 7-series 750i BMW for a day as a test vehicle, and it came with the display key and remote parking on the display key. For my daily use style, I don't see myself ever standing outside the vehicle so that it goes reverse or pulls itself into the garage ever. Garage spaces in Europe are much smaller though, so it might have a more use/application there. Plus, in shopping malls, i will never ever park too close to other cars that I so much need that remote parking feature. So, to me, it is a gimmick for my personal use and most US consumers I guess. Again, space and standard garage spaces in Europe can be different, but still.... who wants to stand outside the vehicle waiting for it to pull back or forward !? In most cases I can not wait to get it and settle on the driver seat!

Someone else on facebook X7 group says they got the 11/2022 update OTA on their 2023 X7 today as well. So looks like BMW is sending out OTA updates earlier than in the past, at least for the 2023 ID8 systems.

Yeah, and the i4 owners have been receiving 11/2022.44 starting December 2022 as an OTA update.

I want the summon feature. My garages are out back. I can open the doors from here. I want the car to come to me. Ok now I’m just being lazy… lol! Although I do have plans for a new garage attached to the house but materials are still absurd. Gonna wait a little bit more.

Yeah certainly I see many people needing it. I was just referring maybe to the majority or at least my personal use as I mentioned. I would not mind it if is a free option for sure, why not. Might use it once or twice a year in my case, but I won't miss it if I don't, that was just my point. Closer to gimmick for some folks, but a problem-solver feature for some certainty.

My first ota. Just update? Do I lose anything? My wife will love that.

Edit: just did update - switched to guest profile. My seat settings seem to be saved. I have noticed no difference yet.

Can confirm the update includes remote parking. To me, it’ll be a useful option as my garage space is tight. I used to pull the car out and then load my kids. I can now do it remotely and not have to get in/out of the car to do so.

Do they roll the update in batches? I’ve been refreshing the app non stop and it still says I’m up to date already.

Anyone notice anything different with turn signals? The update says progressive turn signals. I was expecting to see audi-esque illumination but don't see a difference.

Yes. I thought they were going to be the wave thing like Audi.

But all they do is go from dim to bright quickly and kind of pulse. So no longer off to bright etc. Not a big deal but I was expecting more.

I first got the notification in the BMW app. Downloaded it there then went to my car and started the update process. It seems to be rolling as I first heard there was an update from someone else who got it 2 days before my app notified me.

how cold is it outside? there are specific conditions that need to be met before it will do the update.
battery charge level and ambient temp are two of them.
i think it needs to be above 37F

mostly due to battery health-- bad things will happen if the voltage droops in the middle of flashing.
