Unhappy Vibration STOPS when braking

I have a 2017 340i xdrive msport that vibrates over 40mph. The vibrations STOPS when I apply the brakes. The more brake applied, the less vibration is felt. The car has 17k miles

I just got the car about a week ago, and it vibrated over 60mph and up. Vibrations got worse when letting off the throttle. I had the tires balanced on a hunter road force machine and also got a balance done, but this didn’t fix the issue. A lot of other threads suggested the wheels might be bent so I put a new set of aftermarket wheels on the car with new tires.

Now the car has a new problem where as mentioned before, it vibrates over 40mph. Feels and sounds like it’s coming from the front left, but the vibration is felt mostly through the seat (doesn’t feel like a balance issue on the front tires). Over 50- 60 mph I start hearing a sound that is very close to the sound of a bad wheel bearing. The sound and vibration mostly go away when I apply the brakes.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be? Thanks in advance!!

Update: I cleaned the hubs and rim surface lightly with a wire brush and it fixed the vibration over 40mph that stopped when braking.

Unfortunately, I still have a vibration that’s at its worst at 70-80mph. Vibration starts at 60+ mph and doesn’t stop all the way up to 105mph (haven’t gotten it faster than that…yet). Anything under 60mph there is ZERO vibration. Alignment done and tires balanced on a hunter road force

I would suggest inspecting the front axles and boots. If you see grease flung everywhere, that would be a telltale sign.
