4D7 Fineline Open Pore Wood Trim - Please Share Pics

This is one of the newer matte wood trims offered on the LCI X7 and now X5. I have been unsuccessful in locating any real life photos of this trim. The online configurator is always way off. Can anyone please post pictures they have?

I am familiar with this thread but there wasn't much in there for 4D7 Fineline Open Pore Wood Trim:

Here is what I have gathered thus far:

This video may be the best representation but I'm still looking for more:

Well, I was able to answer my own question. Found some real-life photos courtesy of bmwblog.

Hopefully this helps others considering this trim. I'm not sure if I'll go this route or not.

We have the Fineline Stripe Brown High Gloss Wood Trim (which I assume is similar) with the full merino coffee leather interior on our new-to-us X5. It looked much better than we expected in real life. Was not our best/first option, but it looked really good in person.

I don't think it looks good with the ivory interior though. For Ivory interiors, the "Individual Fine Wood Ash Grain Trim with High Gloss Silver" looks the best and I have that on the X7.

Mind posting some pictures? We're going ivory and I assumed to just stick with the high gloss fineline brown (we have that combo in our x5 with carbon black and like it) but now i'm curious about swapping it on the x7 we have on order with sparkling copper. Thanks!

We're actually purchasing an X5 50e, Black Sapphire Metallic exterior, Ivory White Merino interior.

There are only 4 options for trim:
4D7 Fineline Open Pore Wood Trim
4KR Fineline Stripe Brown High Gloss Wood Trim
4KT Anthracite-Brown Poplar Matte Finish Wood Trim
4LM Fineline Black Wood Trim

I like the Anthracite-Brown Poplar Matte but my partner does not. She cannot stand the grain pattern and prefers gloss.

I've seen Fineline Stripe Brown High Gloss in person, and no offense, not the biggest fan of it for whatever reason.

The Fineline Open Pore Wood Trim in this thread is pretty nice, but like you said, not sure it works with Ivory White.

With black exterior and M Sport/M Sport Professional all blacked out, the Fineline Black Wood Trim seems like it may be the best option.

Saw this trim in an X7 I test drove. Not the best trim as it felt plasticky to the touch. Reminds me of when the Highlander tried to go upscale and started introducing "wood" trims that were clearly some sort of vinyl/plastic.

Au Contraire ... I got this in my X7 because it is not shiny and does not show fingerprints like other shiny ones.

There is no question that it has a matte appearance and most likely dust won't show up as readily as a glossy trim.

As for me, wood should look and feel like wood and panels easily replaceable if required due to actually being "open pore". I do commend BMW for offering so many choices for customization. I ended up going to the competition so no longer a consideration for me.
