Why does the horn stay on after reconnecting the battery a few hours later... ? WTF

I left the battery in my 2021 X3 MC unplugged for a few hours today so I could pull the steering wheel off for some upgrades. However, once I reconnected the battery & put the negative cable back on the battery post it triggered the HORN TO STAY ON.

WTF is wrong now & how do I fix this... ?

Surely this has more to do with pulling the steering wheel than disconnecting the battery?

Turns out it was simply because the key FOB wasn't anywhere near the car when the battery was reconnected. Go figure huh...
