Plasti dip vs. powder coat

Debating between the two. If I plasti dip, any heat practices I should keep in mind?

plastidip is cheap but gives you a good expectation of what a color would look like on your car. It's always matte, looks cheap, and it holds brake dust like no tomorrow even after washes.

What part are you contemplating coating/spraying?

He’s probably doing wheels. Haven’t heard of anyone powdercoating any other parts.

OP. Powdercoat. These aren’t hubcaps.

Would the brake dust still show after a gloss coat?

Unfortunately their glossifier for some reason makes brake dust stick more. I'm speaking purely from experience. It gives it almost a brownish tint and isn't glossy.

Perfect example.

Dipped my roof. 5 layers. Dried like crap.

Ripped it off and bought some wrap.

Much better. My grill is plastidipped black and it’s been almost two years. Still looks good.

Plastidip is for Civics and clapped out G35s. Do it right and get it powder coated.
