V2 Data Logs.. Any Ideas? Speed Delimit Success on Autobahn!
Hey Guys, Just installed V2, 90% Base setting, Posted are my 2 runs. Being in Germany i was able to log up to 140mph or so on the autobahn. Also I surpassed to factory speed limiter hit about 160, I Wasnt able to do a top speed run yet, but that will come soon. At least i know those pesky 911s cant out run me now.. muhaha
It seems like my boost only hits 14.9 for a second at around 5500 rpm the rest of the rpms im at like 8-10psi, seems to taper off pretty heavily.. Im pretty sure the runs started in 2nd gear, If im correct 5?6th gear had low boost? Temp is about 39 F degrees outside. Approx 45 miles of adaptation time Any suggestions on whether i should up the torque values? How do things look?.. MODS: KN Intake, Golf tee exaust mod hehe. Thanks! BTW the Dealer just Reprogrammed my ecu with the newest software, even though i didnt want it, they had to in order to see if it would fix my heater problem. Could these heavy boost taperings be from the newest BMW Ecu program? RUN 2 Last edited by rambino; 02-09-2008 at 09:35 AM.. |

What heating problems did you have?
I ask because my heating, AC, Seat heating right mirror adjustment in reverse gear and trunk light switched off at the same time. Its a BUS error and I need to reflash the car as well

I think this has been the typical results for many. 39 degrees F or C? You may need 92-94%. Looks like the higher speeds may provide denser air. Perhaps the engine load is still high but the air is dens and cold.

I don't have data logs to prove it but, I believe I had a similar issue when I dyno'd my car on the default V2 settings. The car made good torque down low but, ultimately only made 16 more peak HP than stock. I don't know what caused it though. The temp when I dyno'd was pretty close to the temps you have.
Seems to be fairly common: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111876 |

To answer the heat question, it was broken bits in my heating unit.. they are unrelated.. I have 0 torque down low, not till i get to 5500 rpm where it hits 14.9 psi do i get any torque feel which then just dies off right away. Right now the car feels as fast as a stock 335 and rightly so as you can see the boost tapers to about stock levels.. also when i had v 1.47 and i hit the gas in 4th gear it would take off, now its like a 5 second wait till i get to 5500rpm for me to get a slight acceleration 1.47 feel then it dies right back down to stock 335 power.. 39 degrees F Any clue on how to fix this.. should i adjust torque values? all of them or just some etc.. im still waiting to hear back from shiv.. I will take another datalog in a couple of hours now thats its had 200 miles to adapt.. i also ordered forge dv's to try to stabilize boost.. my car feels slow as shit and an audi 2.5tdi almost took me on the jump |
