New X7 Owner - How do I turn off the Lane Assist?
Great car.
On the way home from the dealership, the car kept trying to keep me in the lane if I forgot to use the blinker, so the steering wheel would jar up for a second until I force it to turn. Is there a way to turn this off? Tried for the life of me but couldn't figure it out lol. |

Check out the BMW Drivers Guide app. I've been able to get a lot of answers from there using the search. I also turned this feature off shortly after picking up my car. Attached a screenshot of the steps.

Thanks! I turned it off. Hopefully it will stay off when re-started. Heard some others having trouble with it.

It's a cool feature to train people to care for others by using their indicator when moving across lanes . I wouldn't turn it off but you could reduce the sensitivity of it in the settings so it's not so aggressive. The manual, paper and e-manual via the app, are good resources

You can also turn off Adaptive Cruise Control as well. I find it very frustrating as it keeps me from tailgating people as aggressively as I like. That combined with disabling Steering Intervention so I never have to use my turn signals, it’s the perfect driving experience. Gotta keep that BMW image up!

Told a friend I was buying a BMW right before I got my X7. He asked if it came with turn signals. Apparently those that came before me have a bad reputation of driving like idiots.
