Parking sensor location

I have this error memory from BimmerLink.
803270: Sensor system front outside right: blindness detected
I’m not sure if the front outside right location is the side of the fender or the bottom sensor on the front right bottom where the grill is. I have the m sport bumper.

Without a pic…not sure which sensor you’re referring to. There are the ultrasonic sensors (B24 & B25 in the image below) that are referred to as front right & center sensors…then theres the PMA (park maneuvering assist) sensor which is B158 in the image below that is referred to as ”outside” sensor:

That was very helpful. Thank you. So mine says outside which refer to the B158 location. So I needed to get the PMA sensor replace.
I have a Mineral white metallic Color code A96. BMW x7 40i 2021. Can you please help me get the correct part number for that sensor? Thank you.

Looks like the part nbr for that sensor in Mineral White used to be 66209472098…but I recommend contacting your local BMW dealership’s PARTS DEPT (not the service dept) to verify get coded A96 sensor’s part number is still the same. The online database ends at the 12/2019 build date…plus BMW has superseded many of their part nbrs since that time for newer/different part nbrs. Also verify that this number is correct for all the options you have…which you can check at the link to the database below or by checking with your local dealers’ Parts Dept.

You can either call or drop by the parts dept…but do have the last 7 digits of your VIN ready so that they can enter it to get the correct number.

Good luck.

Looks like you need #4 in the diagram…you can get part nbr info from the link to the database below:

Got the outer right front parking sensor replaced, but the dirty sensors message still comes on intermittently when on reverse. Scanned with bimmer link and it still says the front outer right blindness. Any other ideas? Could it be the connection?

Is the front outer right and front right sensor could be related? There is a small rock chip on the front right sensor B24 in the photo you provided. The sensor I replaced was the one from B158.

If “B24” on the right has a rock chip…if possible, see if you can swap it (#2 in the parts diagram below) with the one on the left side that is its equal to see if the fault message moves to the left side.

Happy to report that after switching the right front sensor b24 the one located on my black grill. I have 2021 x7 m sport bumper. The error code went away. Just for those that have a similar issue like mine. If the scanner show outside front right blindness, you may want to check out the sensor next to it which is front right for mine.
