Congratulations!

Mine arrived at the San Bernadino VPC, and is now awaiting a truck... we can be excited and impatient together

TXSchnee is a long-time Bimmerpost member that has excellent taste in vehicles. We’re lucky to have her in the XM family now….

Dravit, silverstone/vintage coffee, Bowers & Wilkins, 22” wheels, and blue calipers. Nothing too crazy, as my husband vetoed the Isle of Man Green.

Totally agree. That was the color I was going for when I was shopping for the base model. When I found out my dealer had a Label coming, I couldn’t help but pounce on it. Since TXSchnee also came from an iX M60 before her current vehicle, she’s going to love the ability to drive in full electric mode or all balls mode. I’m trying to do all of my normal, day-to-day driving in EV mode. It’s not as fun to drive, but it’s nice having the choice.

That’s what I love…. The choice ! When I wanna cruise around town and when I wanna have some fun is only a click away . Just need to get down to SoCal and get Racechip tune after the break in

I'm getting the exact same spec, albeit with red calipers!

I'm intrigued - while obsessing over waiting for mine, I was re-reading some of the earlier forums, and you were very against the XM.

Why'd you change your mind?

(For the record, I pivoted from 'absolutely hell no' to 'mm...this is interesting' to 'I need this in my life'....)

Same… My last month is over 70mpg avg only because I felt the need to move a couple of times.. Turning it into a game

Main reason, is the interior space and the PHEV aspect (I sit “idling” in my vehicle for around 3-5 hours per week, putting it into electric for that makes a huge difference). We need to replace our Cayenne E Hybrid, and ordered a new Cayenne S E Hybrid, also an Audi RSQ8. Neither is expected until June. The Audi Belt Start Generator issue on the 48V hybrid system is a mess. Was reading through posts on AudiWorld, people had vehicles just stop in the middle of the freeway lane. So that ruled out the RSQ8. I inquired about an X5M Competition, was the next person on the waiting list for months, allocations are not being released for those. Asked about the XM, there was an open allocation, and I negotiated 13% off, went in and drove one, and was happy with how it handled. At this point we are 99% positive we will take the XM, if it sits on stop sale though, for any length of time, we will take the Cayenne S E Hybrid, bad experience with our iX M60 that sat for 6 months. Still not super sure about the XMs exterior looks, but the interior is perfect and that is what I see when driving.
Edit to add: there are some concerning issues on the whole line of ‘24 Cayenne hybrids, needing new battery control software, rehomogolation, and then the Chinese chip issue. None are being released in the US until, at last check, 6/28, which is my “delivery date” on Track Your Dream right now.

The stop sale only impacts vehicles with a production date through mid September. You’re fine unless a new one comes up. This isn’t like the iX where there was a new one every month.

Hopefully a new one doesn’t come up. Thinking that, since the base has been out for nearly 1 year, the kinks should be mostly worked out.

I haven’t had a single issue whatsoever on mine. My production date was early October along with all the original Labels. It’s been a fantastic vehicle and with the updated head unit from what you were used to before, it makes a huge difference. So much better than the one we had on our 2023 iX M60’s.

I wanted the XM Label in Isle of Man with a matte wrap just like my X6, but only the base comes in that color.

You can order any color through the BMW Individual program. it will just take a hell of a lot longer to get it not to mention the added cost.

My Taycan is Mamba Green Metallic, so they would have been very similar color wise. Husband decided he wanted the family car more muted and under the radar.

There’s no such thing as under the radar with an XM! I can’t tell you how many times people have stopped to ask me about it. They have no idea what it is, but love it’s aggressive stance and styling. It’s so rewarding receiving all of the compliments. I’ve even had people driving next to me with their thumbs up out of their windows!

The Taycan gets a lot of people asking about it. It will be interesting to see if the XM gets even more attention.

I think the big difference is no one can tell that it’s a BMW because they’re not used to seeing the logo etched on both sides of the tailgate glass as opposed to the typical BMW roundel.
